Tilt Table Testing
A non-invasive test to determine the role of the heart in patients with temporary loss of consciousness.
How to Prepare:
Please do not eat or drink for four hours before your appointment.
You must be accompanied by another adult.
You will have an Intravenous (IV) line inserted in your arm.
You will be asked to lie down flat, and will gradually be brought to an upright position. Continuous monitoring of your heart rate and blood pressure will take place by a nurse and a physician.
If this part of the exam fails to elicit any symptoms, it will be repeated after the administration of the medication, IV Isuprel.
You should expect to spend 2 hours at our facility.
